The first of a new breed of Aussie muscle cars was the legendary HDT Holden Commodore VC SL/E V8. Only 500 of these vehicles were produced in black, red or white and all vehicles were numbered. Apart from the mechanical modifications, externally a front air dam, rear deck spoiler, large wheel arches and stripes made this car unique from the basic model.
